Muscle Building Breathing Techniques
Proper breathing is not the first thing most muscle building enthusiasts think of before hitting the gym. However, this is an important element of training. Proper breathing is something every body builder should learn straight from the beginning. Proper breathing makes exercises go more smoothly and efficiently. Improper breathing can do more harm than good. The rule of thumb during sessions is to exhale while exerting, even during crunches.
When working out, it’s important for all muscle builders to train themselves to inhale during the easiest part of their exercise and exhale during the most stressful part. For example, exhale while build muscle lifting the weights, and inhale while lowering them. Lots of people have a tendency to hold their breath during a rep. Holding one’s breath sends less blood and oxygen to vital parts of the body and has caused many people to feel dizzy and pass out. When breath is held blood pressure rises and adds stress to the heart, both things that should be avoided.
